Join Borders Forest Trust at the Corehead cabin and orchard for an apple grafting workshop with Mark Shipperlee. Mark will provide rootstocks and a wide variety of heritage apple scions to choose from, and you will be able to take two grafted trees home with you (this has a cost of £10, once you have confirmed your place on the workshop, you will be sent details of how to pay). If you would like to purchase and graft any further trees one the day please bring cash and pay Mark directly (£5 per tree).
It’s worth noting this is a rural location, there is a compost toilet on the site but the nearest cafes, shops and public toilets are located in Moffat.
The Cabin is a short walk across a field from the Borders Forest Trust Corehead Car Park. The path can be muddy, so wellies or boots is recommended.
