Join the Uncovering the Tweed team for an excavation at a multi-period site at Sprouston, Kelso.
The site has evidence of activity from early prehistory through to the medieval period.
Site hours will be Tuesday to Saturday between 10am and 3pm. Sign up for a day or two to try it out or come for the whole dig! We recommend signing up for a series of consecutive days if you are able to, to get the most out the experience and try out different parts of the project.
No experience required, training in excavation and recording will be provided by archaeologists from AOC Archaeology Group. Children and young people are welcome to participate with an accompanying adult.
There will be a portaloo on site near the parking area. The walk to the site from parking at the field entrance is a short max 5 minute walk over a grassed field.
