The first phase of activity at the site included opening the Wee Crook Café, serving fresh food daily and an important space for local events, ongoing major development of waymarked walking routes, an Ecomuseum, and a productive community garden.
As part of the second phase of development at the Crook Inn site, a high-quality new-build bunkhouse will be constructed, with accommodation for up to 23 visitors. The project is supported by Destination Tweed and is fully funded. Construction work is due to start in 2025, with completion in Spring 2026. The building will have strong sustainability credentials and will offer accessible facilities.
