“Merrily swim we, the moon shines bright,
Both current and ripple are dancing in light.”

On Tweed River, Sir Walter Scott.

The Tweed has inspired centuries of poets, writers and artists and still inspires us today.

These words of Sir Walter Scott beautifully capture the serene and enchanting atmosphere of the River Tweed under the moonlight. However, I think the Tweed is spectacular at any time of the day! Whether it’s the sun, the moon or even the rain hitting the water, the Tweed offers lots of opportunities for reflection.
