A Bone to Pick: Archaeological Animal Bone Workshop, Broughton
Excavating animal bones in the medieval ditch at Horndean

Join the Uncovering the Tweed team for an engaging, hands-on workshop that explores animal remains in archaeology. Whether you’ve found the horse burial (chariot optional) or only seem to find them during your Sunday roast, this workshop offers something for everyone.

Together with AOC’s in-house specialist Amy Halliday, we’ll dive into all things fauna. You’ll have the opportunity to examine real artefacts, learn essential skills for cataloguing and recording, and gain a deeper understanding of archaeological animal bone.

This workshop is being repeated, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, please only sign up for one of these sessions! More information and booking is via Eventbrite using the Book Now button.
