Now that we have come towards the end of the first year of Uncovering the Tweed, Dr Graeme Cavers of AOC Archaeology Group will share the results of work so far – from Iron Age scooped settlements to deserted medieval villages, from lithics to LiDAR – as well as providing an outline of activities planned for the coming months.
This event also represents an opportunity for you to help shape Uncovering the Tweed as the project enters its second year. Are there aspects of the history and archaeology of the Tweed that you would like to explore further? Are there sites or areas you think are worthy of more research? If you have attended any of the workshops or events so far, which have you enjoyed most and what could we improve?
Join AOC Archaeology Group for an update and consultation session, where the project team can update on work so far, plans for the coming year and where you will have the chance to suggest new projects or research directions. Please do come with your thoughts and suggestions, or if you are unable to attend, and/or would like to give us any feedback or make suggestions in advance, you can use this form.
This event is being delivered in partnership with Peeblesshire Archaeological Society, and is open to all (optional £5 donation on the door). You can find out more about PAS on their website:
