An exciting new leaflet is available across Berwick, shining a light on local rock stars (the geological kind!).
Produced by local volunteers, and featuring artwork by Daniel J. Weatheritt, this eye-catching new leaflet shares stories of some of the most significant fossil discoveries in the area, and gives tips on where to go to see geology hotspots along the coast.
This leaflet was produced as part of Berwick’s Carboniferous Past, a community project led by North East Museums with support from English Heritage. Museum volunteers and members of Berwick-upon-Tweed u3a have catalogued and re-packed the fossil collection, making some fascinating discoveries along the way, and culminating in this fascinating leaflet which was been distributed to a range of local venues. Look out for them in businesses across Berwick including cafes, shops, and the leisure centre.
