Capturing Tweedsmuir

‘Capturing Tweedsmuir’ showcases community artworks in a scenic outdoor setting. This project, led by Upper Tweed Community News and supported by a grant from Destination Tweed’s Community Grants Scheme, included curated art installations, interpretive signage, public engagement events, and digital promotion to share the beauty of Tweedsmuir’s landscapes with locals and visitors alike.

Innerleithen Mill Lade Trail

Innerleithen’s mill lade is one of the town’s most visible reminders of its industrial history. With support from Destination Tweed’s Community Grants Scheme, Innerleithen Community Trust (ICT) created a heritage trail to tell the stories of the mill lade and its role in the town’s past, present and future.

Open Studios 2025

Since 2022, a team of volunteers has worked together to coordinate Innerleithen Open Studios, a community-led celebration of local art and artists in Innerleithen and the surrounding area. Building on the success of the past three years, Open Studios 2025 expanded to include Traquair and Walkerburn as well as Innerleithen.
